The Blues are about to start OT in game 3 of the Western Conference Finals and the Cardinals got shutout. Soroka absolutely dominated the bats over 7 scoreless tonight, giving up only 3 hits (all singles).
The Braves got to Wacha Flocka in the 3rd and 4th, scoring a run in both innings to grab a 2-0 lead.
Acuña scored the first run after stealing 2B & 3B and forced Wacha to overthrow a pick attempt after he took off for 3B for an error.
Austin Riley, making his major league debut, one of the many highly touted prospects in the Braves system, led the 4th off with a bomb of a 1st career HR. Riley hit the ball 438 feet with an exit velo of 109mph.
Cafecíto, Deez and KoWo (bunt) collected the only hits.
Brebbs and Gallegos tossed scoreless 6th and 7th innings, both striking out a pair.
The Braves added two insurance runs in the 8th vs G-Spot with 2 outs. Markakis ljned a single the opposite way and Culberson (first at bat) took him deep to LF to make it a 4-0 game.
That’s where this one ended.
