Nola and Phills cruise to 11-1 win to even the series
Well, well, well......
Here we are.....
Again.
You know the drill by now with these clunkers, you don’t wanna read it and I don’t wanna write it. But I’ll give ya some highlights or lowlights of tonight’s beatdown.
The Phills exploded for a 6 run 2nd inning vs Hudson. And it was quite the circus of an inning: a double, walk, passed ball, Wong error on an easy DP ball, Goldy error on a Nola bunt, walk, Harper grand salami. Yikes, not good.
Nola cruised thru 6IP, allowing only three Cards hits, one being a solo HR to RF from Matt Wieters, who took over for Yadi in the 6th inning. This was his 1st HR as a member of the Cards.
The Phillies scored 4 more runs over the final 5 innings, and the Cardinals wouldn’t make any noise whatsoever. So that’s the story of tonight, turn the page to the rubber game tomorrow afternoon. Jack Flaherty (3-2, 4.17) looks for the series win tomorrow, as he matches up against Jerad Eickhoff (1-1, 2.05). First pitch 12:15pm c/t.
Cheers, Stew
